Jacobs is hosting the town hall in Clairemont to update constituents on her work in both San Diego and Washington, D.C. The town hall will present constituents the opportunity to ask questions and express their concerns and opinions. In the past few months, Jacobs has been busy on the Hill and in San Diego. Jacobs has co-authored numerous bills to combat President Donald Trump’s executive orders and other bills passed under the current administration. When visiting Jacobs’ website, a drop-down message prompts visitors to “fight back against the Trump administration’s abuses.” Since early June, Jacobs has introduced several reproductive health care bills. Some of her introductions include a bill to protect reproductive and sexual health data, such as data from period tracking apps. She has introduced a resolution condemning anti-abortion laws, and secured expanded IVF coverage for active duty service members and their dependents. Jacobs is currently on her third term. According to her website, she and her team have helped more than 4,130 local San Diegans address federal casework issues ranging from Medicare to immigration and visa assistance. She has also been a leader in championing funds and legislation to address the Tijuana River sewage crisis. On Wednesday evening, Jacobs will be talking all things San Diego and Washington, D.C. The town hall is from 7 to 9 p.m. and doors open at 6 p.m. The event is open to all of Jacob’s constituents, who can RSVP here to receive exact location details.
